What Electric Work Does a Kitchen Renovation Require?

Renovating a kitchen can require a fantastic deal of cash, however, if it is done correctly the first time, you are not going to need to spend just as much. Taking the time to organise things out carefully using a professional will make sure that all of the electrical requirements are properly planned and safe.

Kitchen Electrical Projects

Among the first concerns to consider when renovating a kitchen would be to seek to get a licensed electrician. The positioning of wires and sockets is subject to some set of rules and regulations, and so it’sn’t something you can handle yourself. There are so many laws to consider, you should seek the services of an electrician for almost anything other than replacing a light bulb.

Taking into consideration how the kitchen is a somewhat moist environment, it’s crucial that there is proper clearance between the kitchen sink and electrical sockets. The distance will vary depending upon the overall capacity of the kitchen sink. If the sink just holds less than 45 litres, you won’t want to set up fixtures with .4m in the top of the kitchen sink .15m from the sides of the sink. However, if the sink is capable of holding more than 45 litres, the fitting must be at least 1 meter from the top and .5m from the edges of the sink.
